Brittany Heath

Female Athlete - Inducted 2023

Born and raised in Wallaceburg, it was at the age of 5 that Brittany Heath first touched blade to ice at the Wallaceburg Memorial Arena, learning how to skate with Deb Dauw. Her parents, Darlene and Ron, saw right away how much she loved it. She would remain skating with Deb in Wallaceburg until age 9, when she transitioned to the Chatham Figure Skating Club in the early 2000s, under the supervision of Joelle Batten. She won a Silver Medal in Juvenile Pairs at the Canadian National Championships and finished in the top 10 in the Juvenile Ladies event at the All-Ontario Championships. Already very accomplished by the age of 12, Brittany passed her Gold Level Free Skate certificate and Junior Ladies Level certificate. At the age of 14, she moved to Barrie and billeted with a family while training full time as a pair and singles national competitor while still representing Southwestern Ontario.

She began competing in many international events in both singles and pairs. With her partner, Robert Paxton, they won a Bronze Medal in the Novice Pairs at the 2006 National Championships, earning a spot on the Canadian Junior National Team. For the next 2 years, she represented Canada at the Junior Competitive Level before deciding to begin her professional career. She signed with Disney on Ice and quickly became one of the youngest Principal Performers in the company. For the next 3 years, she travelled the world exploring 12 different countries and performing in many different cultures and languages. Following her dreams of performing live, she went on to sign with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and performed in the Caribbean for a year on the Cruise Ship, “Adventure of the Sea’s”. Entering her early twenties, Brittany’s dreams switched direction and she went on to get her Nursing Degree, graduating in 2013.
