In 1990, the Wallaceburg Atlas Eatery Sting men’s soccer team completed a very successful season in the Western Ontario Soccer League (W.O.S.L.). What made it so special was the fact that no other Wallaceburg men's team, up to that year, had won both the league title and the Cup tournament, regardless of the Division played in. The 1990 Sting did just that, winning both the 2nd Division Cup Championship and 2nd Division West League title.
In being crowned the 2nd Division League Champs, the wallaceburg Sting were promoted to the 1st Division of W.O.S.L. for the 1991 season...a significant achievement for small town Wallaceburg. The large majority of this squad would continue as teammates for many more seasons with continued success.
